Es causada por hongos dermatofitos que crecen mejor en lugares c\u00e1lidos y h\u00famedos como zapatos, calcetines, piscinas y duchas comunes.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Signos y s\u00edntomas:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Picaz\u00f3n, ardor o escozor entre los dedos de los pies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Piel seca, agrietada o descamada en los pies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enrojecimiento, descamaci\u00f3n o exfoliaci\u00f3n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ampollas que pueden supurar l\u00edquido y doler<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>En algunos casos, se propaga a las u\u00f1as de los pies (infecci\u00f3n f\u00fangica de u\u00f1as) o incluso a las manos<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Por qu\u00e9 es importante para las manicuristas:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>El pie de atleta es muy contagioso y puede propagarse r\u00e1pidamente si no se trata.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Los profesionales de las u\u00f1as deben reconocer los signos, evitar realizar servicios en pies infectados y proteger a otros clientes del riesgo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Se debe derivar a los clientes a un profesional de la salud o a un pod\u00f3logo para un diagn\u00f3stico adecuado y un tratamiento antif\u00fangico.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mejor pr\u00e1ctica:<\/strong><br>No realice pedicura ni servicios de u\u00f1as en pies que presenten signos de pie de atleta. Recomiende tratamiento m\u00e9dico en su lugar.
