The use of nail oils is \u2018non-negotiable\u2019 but monomers on the skin is entirely avoidable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This nail sector has a very large percentage of \u2018home salons\u2019 often in a dedicated garden room with no water supply. Is this a problem? Well, yes it can be! These need to be washed away from the clients\u2019 hands before the finishing stages and certainly before the application of nail oils or hand creams.<\/li><li>A dust brush is not as efficient as washing; it can bring oils from the skin down onto the nails and the brush needs to be a clean one for every client.<\/li><li>Any shaping or filing when using a UV cured product has the potential to have uncured monomers in the dust.<\/li><li>When using a UV cured top coat (and this also applies to a \u2018tack free\u2019 or a \u2018no wipe\u2019 top coat) the final cleansing can easily leave monomers on the skin.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>En todas estas fases, es esencial lavarse las manos con agua y jab\u00f3n l\u00edquido antes de la fase final, es decir, masajear con un buen aceite de u\u00f1as.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have all learned the importance of hand washing through the pandemic but it has many other implications for us as nail pros.
