Marian has worked in every aspect of the nail industry since opening a ‘nails only’ salon in 1987. Author, teacher, brand educator, she is regarded as one of the top nail practitioners in the world, with a long history of working with some of the world’s leading designers, as well as the London, New York, Milan and Paris fashion shows.
With over 70 British Vogue Covers to her name, Marian is one of the few nail practitioners whose work could be seen virtually every week in glossy magazines around the world.
As a trainer and educator, she has a formidable reputation for excellence and quality, prompting Tatler magazine is describe her as the “Karl Lagerfield” of Nails.
A frequent contributor to the media, Marian was Chairperson of the Nails Services Forum and Committee Member for the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (Habia) for many years.
Her book ‘The Complete Nail Technician’ is the definitive textbook for the Industry and is now in its 4th edition.
For her services to the Beauty Industry during Covid-19, Marian was awarded the British Empire Medal in the Queen’s 2020 Birthday Honours List.
