Restaurants and pubs are reporting a horrific number of \u2018no shows\u2019 where it can cost them around \u00a360 in the food prep and staff availability. It seems some are booking several tables and then decide what they \u2018fancy\u2019 at the time! Do they not realise that it costs the owners real money? Obviously not (or maybe they just don\u2019t care)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salons are reporting the same sort of level. For an industry that is \u2018on its knees\u2019 this situation is not survivable nor acceptable!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ent\u00e3o, o que voc\u00ea pode fazer?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everywhere I read there seems to be some difference of opinion on what is refundable and what isn\u2019t i.e deposit vs booking fee. Parece ser mais f\u00e1cil usar um aplicativo de reservas. Mas n\u00e3o necessariamente. \u00c9 preciso ter diretrizes claras para que cada cliente entenda o que est\u00e1 assinando.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By asking your clients to pay a \u2018booking fee\u2019 with clear cancellation policies you are safeguarding your working day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para resumir:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>o acordo deve ser justo<\/li><li>deve ser claro<\/li><li>you cannot charge more than is a reasonable financial loss for a \u2018no show\u2019 e.g charging 50% of the cost is probably not reasonable. But maybe 25% is especially if you can use social media to fill the gap.<\/li><li>ele precisa ser resgat\u00e1vel contra a taxa final, por exemplo, reduzir a taxa final pelo dep\u00f3sito, uma vez que ele j\u00e1 foi pago<\/li><li>deixe claro o per\u00edodo de tempo que voc\u00ea est\u00e1 esperando, por exemplo, 24 ou 48 horas de cancelamento ou at\u00e9 menos do que isso se o cliente tiver desenvolvido sintomas de C19.<\/li><li>use your discretion! If a client develops symptoms on the day of the appointment you cannot question that! Maybe suggest that the \u2018booking fee\u2019 can be used for a new appointment at a later date. Make that clear.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This industry really does need to approach their businesses in a more professional way. The more professional you are, the more your clients will respect you. If you treat it as a hobby for \u2018mates\u2019 that is exactly how you will be treated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clients are far more likely to attend an appointment if they have paid something!!
