This is the definition of \u2018Vegan\u2019 from The Vegan Society:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude\u2014as far as is possible and practicable\u2014all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms, it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have an open mind about this issue and respect vegans who look for vegan cosmetics,\u201d<\/em> ele conclui. \u201cHowever, being a \u2018vegan nail polish\u2019 does not make these any safer than other nail polishes. This is a personal lifestyle preference, and not related in any way to safety.
