So now we have 2 definitions of a hangnail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>** \u0110\u1ecbnh ngh\u0129a A: **<\/strong> Is a bit of torn skin that is lifting away from a <a href=\"https:\/\/nailknowledge.org\/vi\/blog\/what-happens-in-the-proximal-nail-fold\/\">n\u1ebfp g\u1ea5p m\u00f3ng tay<\/a>. The same thing can occur in the LNF of the toenail, it&#8217;s caused by improperly trimming, bad efile technique or cutting too deeply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>** Tri\u1ec7u ch\u1ee9ng: ** <\/strong>In both cases, while many of us have had the misfortune of experiencing a hangnail firsthand, what&#8217;s crucial is recognizing the discomfort they bring and differentiating between the two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When (either of) these are pulled out, bleeding, swelling, pain and infectious inflammation can occur. Remember the sharp sting after accidentally yanking it? Other skin conditions such as Lichen Planus, Alopecia Areata, Psoriasis, Eczema as well as Edema can cause Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL) or Transonychial Water Loss (TOWL) &#8211; a healthy nail has about an 18% natural water content that can lead to hangnails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ai c\u00f3 th\u1ec3 b\u1ecb x\u01b0\u1edbc da \u1edf m\u00f3ng tay?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>B\u1ea5t k\u1ef3 ai, \u0111\u1eb7c bi\u1ec7t l\u00e0 nh\u1eefng ng\u01b0\u1eddi l\u00e0m vi\u1ec7c nhi\u1ec1u b\u1eb1ng tay ho\u1eb7c l\u00e0m vi\u1ec7c b\u1eb1ng tay trong n\u01b0\u1edbc. When skin is rough, hard or dry, moisturising creams, oils &amp;&nbsp;lotions&nbsp;should be recommended to the client to prevent the chances of it happening or reoccurring. Nail technicians aren&#8217;t just about making nails look pretty; they&#8217;re the unsung heroes when it comes to hangnail care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ph\u00f2ng ng\u1eeba:<\/strong> K\u1ef9 thu\u1eadt l\u00e0m m\u00f3ng \u0111\u00fang l\u00e0 \u0111\u00e3 th\u1eafng m\u1ed9t n\u1eeda tr\u1eadn chi\u1ebfn. In the world of podiatry, we use composite to create nail braces, composite is effective because as it cures it shrinks. This shrinkage (gently) lifts the nail plate out of the paronychium cup that the nail plate lays in, reducing the pressure of the nail plate in the lateral nail fold. When applying this technique in the hand nail salon it\u2019s important to remember the importance of <em>b\u1ea3o tr\u00ec v\u00e0 ch\u0103m s\u00f3c \u0111\u01a1n v\u1ecb l\u00e0m m\u00f3ng<\/em> v\u1edbi d\u1ea7u v\u00e0 kem d\u01b0\u1ee1ng ch\u1ea5t l\u01b0\u1ee3ng t\u1ed1t. \u0110\u1ed9 \u0111\u00e0n h\u1ed3i c\u1ee7a phi\u1ebfn m\u00f3ng s\u1ebd gi\u00fap gi\u1ea3m \u00e1p l\u1ef1c v\u00e0\/ho\u1eb7c \u0111au do m\u1ea3nh da r\u00e1ch ho\u1eb7c da r\u00e1ch g\u00e2y ra khi m\u00f3ng ti\u1ebfp t\u1ee5c ph\u00e1t tri\u1ec3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">M\u00f3ng tay b\u1ecb r\u00e1ch da <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This can be exceptionally painful and if the patch of skin is particularly large we used to cut it off with clippers or scissors. According to an article published in October 2019 (see ref) a simpler and more effective way of dealing with a large skin hangnail is gluing it back into place with surgical glue. Realizing the importance of and keeping the skin around the nails moisturized can be a game-changer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tr\u00e1nh thi\u1ec7t h\u1ea1i:<\/strong> Kh\u00f4ng n\u00ean k\u00e9o ho\u1eb7c c\u1eafn m\u00f3ng tay. DO NOT apply artificial nail products and never use an efile to \u2018polish\u2019 the skin or to remove dry or keratinized skin, infections for these clients can have serious consequences such as amputation or sepsis and should be taken very seriously. When in doubt refer these clients to a medical hand specialist, the leading nurse in their treatment team, a medical practitioner or their GP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3:<\/strong> Soaking hands &amp; nails in solutions for any longer than 30 seconds can work to perpetuate hangnails in the hand and or feet. Nails and Skin emersed in water for longer will absorb that water and swell after which the water evaporates and any cracks in the skin or nails will worsen as the nails and skin shrink back to their normal size.
