Blanco queratina granulations on the toenails are harmless surface changes that often appear after repeated polaco o gel wear. They’re not an infection or disease — just a sign the nail surface has become a little dehydrated and roughened where keratin cells lifted.

Here’s how to treat and improve them:

1. Wash with soap and water.

2. Moisturising & Nail Recovery

  1. Apply a aceite de uñas o aceite para cutículas (jojoba or vitamina E–based) diario.
  2. Massage into the placa para clavos y cutícula to help restore flexibility and hydration.
  3. A nail-strengthening serum o keratin treatment can also help rebind the surface.

3. Avoid Dehydrating Products

  1. If you must wear polish, use a nourishing capa base designed for weak or damaged nails.

4. Keep Nails Short & Protected

  1. Keep the free edge smooth to prevent catching or peeling.
  2. Wear breathable socks and dry shoes thoroughly to avoid extra moisture stress.

5. Allow Time

  1. As the nail grows out, the white areas will disappear — toenails grow slowly, so it might take several months for full renewal.

⚠️ Educational note:
Keratin granulations are no fungal or infectious. But if manchas blancas persist, spread, or become crumbly or thickened, it could be something else (like superficial white onicomicosis) and worth showing a podólogo for confirmation.
