Over-buffying

The excessive use of a nail buffer on the natural nail surface, resulting in the removal of too many layers of the nail plate. Over-buffering can lead to thinning nails, increased sensitivity, a burning sensation during filing or product application, and a weakened nail structure prone to peeling or splitting.

Exemplo:
“Over-buffering before a gel application can cause the client’s nails to become overly sensitive and fragile.”
