Brazillian manicure

A Brazilian manicure is a type of nail treatment that originated in Brazil and has proved to be controversial, as it involves the use of cuticle nipper to remove ‘excess cuticle growth’ which we now know to actually be live tissue (PNF).

It’s worth noting that what follows is done with regular polish only (lacquer), as the next step consists of ‘flooding’ the cuticle area with the product and using an orange wood, cotton and acetone to clean up the excess.

The rationale behind it being that not leaving a gap in between skin and product will prolong the life of the service.
