Volar Surface

The term “volar surface” refers to the palm side of the hand or the sole side of the foot. It is the anterior or front surface of the hand or foot, opposite to the dorsal surface, which is the back or top surface. The volar surface of the hand typically includes the palm, while the volar surface of the foot includes the sole. It’s a common anatomical reference used to describe the specific orientation or location of structures in the hands and feet.
