Examples:

  • Antibiotics (e.g., tetracyclines can cause nail pigmentation).
  • Antimalarials (can produce colour bands).
  • Retinoids (can cause nail fragility).

How it relates to nails:
Drugs may interfere with nail cell growth, pigment production, or keratin formation, leading to ridges, discolouration, or brittle nails.
