Hydrophobic

Hydrophobic refers to a substance or material that repels water or does not readily mix or dissolve in water. In relation to nails, hydrophobic properties can be desirable in certain products, such as water-resistant top coats or nail polishes that resist smudging or chipping when exposed to water.
