Inverse pterygium

Inverse pterygium is a condition characterized by the growth of skin or tissue from the proximal nail fold over the nail plate towards the distal end. Unlike a regular pterygium, which grows from the nail bed towards the cuticle, an inverse pterygium grows from the skin around the nail.
