Pseudomonas

Pseudomonas is a family of infectious bacteria. On nails, it cause what is often called ‘greenies’ (a colloquial term). It is also called Chloronychia, or Green Nail Syndrome. It is seen as a discolouration on the nail plate that starts as yellow and darkens to green then almost black. It’s almost always associated with the lifting of a coating from the nail plate.
