COSHH

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health – (COSHH) This is a UK Health & Safety requirement and every salon must carry out a COSHH Assessment. Nail Services use a lot of products that fall into this category including solvents and nail coating products. An SDS is needed to do this accurately and these should be kept with the assessments. Generally, it is aimed at salons with 5 or more employees but it is strongly recommended that even sole traders, home salons, mobiles and salons with less than 5 employees carry out this Assessment just like a general Risk Assessment
See our Health and Safety Section HERE for more H&S topics.
