Spa

A spa is a location where people can visit to improve their health or appearance through a relaxing, therapeutic, or beauty treatment. Originally meant to promote wellness by healing or medicinal baths in mineral-rich water, spas have now evolved into places where services like massages, facials, and other types of treatments are being offered.

The word SPA is thought to be an acronym for Salus Per Aquam, meaning “health by water”, although some historians believe that it is derived from the name of the town Spa in Belgium, known since Roman times for its mineral springs.
