Hand sanitizer or hand washing?

Question:

If I use a hand sanitizer, do I still need to wash my hands?

Answer:

Hand sanitizers do not replace hand washing because they cannot remove dirt, grease, or other debris from the skin or nails. For this reason, hand washing with liquid soap and warm running water is the preferred method. However, the use of a hand sanitizer following proper hand washing can add an extra measure of protection.

If used more than 10 times per day, they can dry the skin so be sure to use a high-quality hand moisturizer at least once per day.
