Good question and one I haven’t considered before. I think there could be a few reasons:
- UV gel polish is the most popular nail service
- There are numerous imported brands that may not meet the expected level of quality
- There are more brands that only focus on UV gel polish and don’t supply enhancement systems
- Education is always an issue, there are many users that have no qualification in the UV gel system, so have no in-depth knowledge of the process and dangers
- Education of enhancement services usually (and should) entail more content, therefore additional training and knowledge
- So many consumers use retail kits with no understanding and develop an allergy then visit a nail professional when they are already allergic/irritated
